Dawn of a New Day

The windsong of spirit hath enraptured the dawn
And pervaded the silence with celestial song;
The horizon of grandeur hath summoned the light
That rendeth the darkness and shadows in flight.

Bow down in triumph, O kings of the earth,
The Kingdom is God's and a new world in birth;
Circle His presence, O men of clear sight,
The Lord of Creation hath shown thee His might.

How long can bewildered mankind delay
To open their eyes to the greatest of Days;
How long must our people yearn for its light
Before they realize its they who've lacked sight?

The nightingale sings in His new attire,
Calling the faithful to the unseen Desire.
The Lote-tree of mystery at the brink of thy soul
In the Temple of Radiance hath shown thee thy Goal.

Letters of light on the tablet of fire,
Our souls are the emblems of ceaseless desire.
In the court of Thy Beauty, at the throne of Thy Light
This world's but a shadow in the darkness of night.

The time is at hand, and more, it hath passed,
And the Day-Star of oneness is risen at last;
The Celestial Concourse doth yearn for thy place,
For the Glory of God hath shone in thy face.
